IRON MOUNTAIN - Lucille Scott is most likely the oldest living Iron Mountain High School graduate.

After turning 106 on Thursday, safe to say she has the title clinched.

Scott grew up on West B Street in Iron Mountain and has lived in Dickinson County all her life.

Formerly Lucille Anna Grimord, she married Joe Scott and had three sons, all of whom she has outlived. She has great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, but none in the local area.

She worked as a cashier and an office clerk for approximately 19 years at the Michigan Bell telephone company on East B Street in Iron Mountain.

Adorned with a bright pink tiara, Scott visited with many friends and received several gifts during her birthday party at Freeman Nursing & Rehab Community in Kingsford. "I don't deserve all this," said Scott as she was handed a gift.

Scott is a very active resident at Freeman's, attending most of the daily activities, bingo being her favorite. She also enjoys reading and crossword puzzles. When asked "What's the secret to a long life?" she replied "Minding your own business."
