KINGSFORD - There will be a variety of homemade crafts, jewelry, food, and other specialty items available at the Second Annual Daily News Spring Craft Show today.
The show is being held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Birchwood Mall, 610 S. Carpenter Ave., Kingsford.
Daily News Newspapers In Education Coordinator Christopher Ashburn said 34 crafters and/or vendors will be on site selling their handmade items.
The event is being catered by Casual to Gourmet Catering.
Specialty items featured include bird houses/feeders, wood signs, pot holders, place mats, pottery, sports collectables and apparel, doll clothes, stained glass, ceramics, jam, syrup and hone, stone oil candles, lamps, crocheted and hand-woven items, and baked goods.
The Spring Craft Show is an event aimed at involving the community and welcoming in the spring season.
Admission is free.
The spring craft show raises funds for Newspapers In Education, a non-profit organization funded solely through fund-raising events and grants paid for by The Daily News, local business sponsors, and generous subscribers.
