IRON MOUNTAIN - A winter weather advisory is in effect for Dickinson and Iron counties from noon today to 1 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), residents can expect wet snow accumulations of two to four inches by late this evening.

Florence and Marinette counties in Wisconsin are under a winter weather advisory from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today.

Two to three inches of snow is expected. Snow will taper off to light snow and freezing drizzle by this afternoon.

The National Weather Service states that a winter weather advisory means that snow will cause some travel difficulties, including snow-covered roads and limited visibility.

After a slight chance of snow on Tuesday, no more hazardous weather is in the forecast for the rest of the week.

High temperatures in the upper 30s are expected for next weekend.
