Two people sustained minor injuries on a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Carpenter Avenue and West C Street on Tuesday.

The accident occurred at 1:03 p.m. at the intersection of Carpenter Avenue and West C Street.

Lt. Ed Mattson of the Iron Mountain Police Department said that a 76-year-old Marquette woman was driving an SUV west on West C Street when she failed to stop for the stop sign at Carpenter Avenue.

Her vehicle struck a pickup truck operated by a 23-year-old Kingsford woman that was southbound on Carpenter Avenue, Lt. Mattson added.

Lt. Mattson said that both drivers complained of minor injuries, but they declined treatment at the scene.

Assisting at the scene were the Iron Mountain Fire Department and Beacon Ambulance.
