GREEN BAY, Wis. - U.S. 41 in Brown County between Highway 29 (Shawano Avenue) and Velp Avenue will be restricted to one lane until 5 a.m. Monday, March 25, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation said.
This is in addition to a full closure of all northbound lanes of U.S. 41 between Shawano and Velp. also until 5 a.m. Monday. Northbound traffic will have to use a marked detour or seek alternate routes. Southbound U.S. 41 motorists are also asked to use a different route, as the potential for traffic delays are greater with only one lane of southbound U.S. 41 open to motorists. Additionally, the ramp from Velp Avenue to southbound U.S. 41 is closed.
The closures are necessary due to the installation of sanitary sewer pipe. WisDOT expects all lanes to be open by Monday at 5 a.m.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and use caution when driving though this or any work zone.
