IRON MOUNTAIN - The Dickinson County Prosecutor's Office has charged an Iron Mountain man in the stabbing incident on Iron Mountain's westside on Tuesday.
Erich John Lindlbauer, 31, of Iron Mountain was apprehended following a stabbing incident in which Joseph Spade, 30, also of Iron Mountain, was injured.
Prosecuting Attorney Lisa Richards said in a news release issued today that following the investigation, which was handled by the Iron Mountain Police Department, Lindlbauer was charged with the felony offenses of assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a controlled substance, along with habitual offender, fourth offense notice.
According to the incident report, police responded to a 911 call at 1008 West A St. on Tuesday at approximately 6:09 p.m.
Spade was taken from the scene via ambulance to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital where he was treated for the stab wound.
Spade was released from the hospital on Wednesday.
Lindlbauer is scheduled for a preliminary examination in the 95B District Court on Tuesday, April 16 at 2 p.m.
He is being represented by attorney Kalen Lipe of Iron Mountain.
