SURING, Wis. - James Henry Peetz Sr., 78, of Suring, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, after slipping on the ice and sustaining a head injury.
He was born on March 15, 1935, to Henry and Rose (Midle) Peetz in Lena, Wis. Jim attended the Lena schools, before spending two years in the U.S. Army.
On June 19, 1964, he married the love of his life, Gloria Kulhanek.
Jim was a heavy equipment operator and a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; daughters, Patti (Tony) Lenz of Suring, Sue (Scott) Herning of Suring, and Shirley (Chris) Smith of Green Bay, Wis.; a son, James Jr. of Verona, Wis.; seven grandchildren; a sister, Rose (Jim) Olson of Florence, Wis.; sisters-in-law, Marlene Peetz and Andrea Kulhanek; brothers-in-law, Robert Kadlec and Don Kulhanek; many cousins, including some from Niagara, Wis., Norway, and Hermansville; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Rose Peetz; a brother, Peter Peetz; and a sister, Helen Ann Kadlec.
A celebration of life will take place April 13, 2013, at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, located on County Road M in Suring. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to time of service at 4 p.m.
