IRON MOUNTAIN - Iron Mountain High School invites all junior class parents to attend the "Get Set for College Night" to be held on Wednesday, April 17 in the high school media center on B-floor from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
"This will be a casual event with light refreshments being served," a spokesperson said.
Jon Teichman, assistant director of admissions from Northern Michigan University will be the presenter for the evening. His information will benefit all parents who will have a son or daughter attending any college upon graduation from Iron Mountain High School.
Some of the topics being discussed will be reasons for attending college, college selection, college visits, applying to college, determining college costs and how to pay for it and finalizing your plans.
Ruth Truscott, guidance counselor and Mel Laydon, scholarship administrator will both be in attendance to answer any questions and update parents on what to expect in the senior year and how to prepare now.
