LAS VEGAS - Clayton Johnson, 82, of Las Vegas, passed away of leukemia on March 18, 2013, at his home. Son of the late Cyrus and Rose (Couveau) Johnson, Clayton was born Aug. 14, 1930, in Kingsford and attended schools in Aurora, Wis.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was injured twice resulting in hospitalizations in Japan. He often worked two jobs supporting his family as a machinist and maintenance man.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Johnson; son, William Johnson (Jean) of Houston; daughter, Susan LaFever of Racine, Wis.; sister, Mary Skell (Bill) of Neenah, Wis.; brother, Clyde Johnson (Betty) of Kenosha, Wis.; grandson, Christian Johnson; granddaughter, Moriah Lane (Troy); three great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Mitsue (Aoyama) Johnson; and his second wife, Patricia Johnson.

Burial will be scheduled in the spring in the Homestead Aurora Free Church Cemetery in Aurora.
