REDDING Calif. - Frank Knabenshue Jr., 83, of Redding, passed away peacefully Monday, April 22, 2013.
Frank was born on July 30, 1929, to Lena and Frank Knabenshue Sr. in Niagara, Wis. Frank married Jean (Cootware) in August 1950. He worked at Kimerly Clark in Niagara, then transferred to Anderson, Calif., in 1964 where he remained until he retired in 1990.
During retirement, Frank and Jean returned to Iron Mountain every summer to visit family and friends.
Frank is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Jean; his parents; and numerous brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughter, Beverly (Bob) Drumm of Redding; son, Bruce (Bonnie) of Anderson; and daughter, Brenda (Ron) Brown of Eugene, Ore.; six grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; a sister, Pauline Jorgensen of Wisconsin; and numerous neices and nephews.
At Frank's request no service will be held.
The family will scatter Frank and Jean's ashes at the coast in Oregon where they loved to visit.
