PESHTIGO, Wis. - Kingsford swept Peshtigo in girls softball here Tuesday afternoon.
Coach Kevin Murdock's Flivvers pounded out 16 hits in 12-2 and 10-3 victories.
Emily Murdock pitched the victory in Game 1, going all six innings and allowing just two hits and one walk. She fanned six.

Murdock also collected three hits at the plate, including a pair of doubles. Maria Wiltzius, Janay Walters, Sierra Fayas, Jackie Luthardt and Lacey Walsh each added a hit.
Kingsford and Peshtigo were tied 2-2 after four innings before the Flivvers added four in the fifth and six more in the sixth.
Mariah Clement pitched all five innings in the second contest, striking out two. She allowed five hits and one walk.
The Flivvers scored early and often, leading 9-1 after two innings.
Wiltzius and Clement each knocked two hits. Walters, Brooke Sanford, Walsh and Sadie Ventimiglia also had hits.
The Flivvers will attempt to open their home schedule Thursday, hosting Westwood at 3:30 p.m.
