The Dickinson County Board of Commissioners will meet at 6:30 tonight in the circuit courtroom of the courthouse.
The agenda includes ratifying the hiring of Nicole Frost as controller/administrator to begin her employment June 10.
The Iron Mountain School District Board of Education will meet today at 6 p.m. in the board meeting room of the administration building, 217 Izzo Mariucci Way in Iron Mountain.
Items on the agenda include approval of the ISD's general fund budget, accepting resignations from a coach and day care worker, letter of retirement, hiring a high school secretary, principal of alternative education program, day care worker, and high school summer school instructor; approval to award the phone system bid, network switches and WiFi award, approval for girls softball for the 2013-14 school year, and a closed session to discuss negotiation strategies.
The North Dickinson School District Board of Education will meet today at 7 p.m. in the high school library.
Business items include a request by Sheriff Scott Celello to address the board, increasing lunch prices, schedule B positions, employment status change, purchase of woodworking equipment, bus and car purchase, and a closed session to discuss school discipline.
The Breitung Township Schools Board of Education will meet today at 7 p.m. in the board room of the township offices in Quinnesec.
A conditional rezoning agreement will be discussed under old business. New business on the agenda includes a request to use Quinnesec park, and authorization to proceed with water line upgrades.
The Norway-Vulcan School District Board of Education will meet today at 6:30 p.m. in the board meeting room.
The board will discuss purchasing iPads for students not to exceed $350,000, a letter of intent for high school gym sound, letter of agreement with the Norway-Vulcan Education Association for cash in lieu of health care, budget update and forecast for 2013-14, external posting for one elementary certified position, art certified position and special education certified position for the 2013-14 school year.
