Graff, Hilberg named Trojans’ top Athletes

CRYSTAL FALLS - Gina Graff and Christopher Hilberg have been named Forest Park High School's athletes of the year.

Graff and Hilberg received the Dr. J.R. Davidson Memorial Award at the school's sports awards program.

In other major awards, Lexi Gussert and Austin Snell claimed the Malcolm McNeil Memorial Award.

Carlton Isaacson was the recipient of the Rudy Valesano Memorial Award. Maria DeMuri, with a grade point average of 4.0, was selected for the Athletic High Scholastic Award.

GIRLS BASKETBALL - Lexi Gussert, Steve Warner Memorial MVP, best offense, best defense, best free throw percentage, most assists, most rebounds; Gina Graff, Hustle Award; Ronnie Jaeger, coach's award; Sam Nylund, most improved.

FOOTBALL - Derek Aberly, Craig Skibo Memorial MVP, best defensive player; Jeff Johnson, best offensive player; Ben Paige, best offensive lineman; Raymond Tomasik, best defensive lineman; Austin Snell, most improved offensive player; Adam Hilberg, most improved defensive player; LJ Burns, special teams player; Colton LaChapelle, Trojan Award; Taylor Nocerini, Jim Fabbri Inspirational Award.

POM/DANZ - Kaitlyn Bradley, best showmanship; Jon Curtis, best overall technique and most improved; Toni Santi, highest kick award.

BOYS GOLF - Dennis Mitchell, coach's award; Kevin Stankewicz, MVP; Brett Smithson, most improved.

GIRLS GOLF - Abby Sommers, coach's award; Lexi Gussert, MVP; Annie Taylor, most improved player.

BOYS BASKETBALL - Derek Aberly, Steve Warner Memorial MVP; Austin Carlson, sixth man award; Raymond Tomasik, most rebounds; Chris Hilberg, most improved; Zach Painter, coach's award; Austin Snell, best offense; Jeff Johnson, best defense; LJ Burns, most free throws; Lee Graff, Hustle Award.

VOLLEYBALL - Lexi Gussert, MVP and best offensive; Gina Graff, best defensive; Maria Stankewicz, Hustle Award; Abby Sommers, most improved; Mindy DeNell, coach's award.
