IRON MOUNTAIN - To give youth an adventurous, active and healthy summer, the Northern Lights YMCA-Dickinson Center is offering day camp for youth.
YMCA camp programs provide an experience that gives children the opportunity to explore the outdoors, meet new friends, discover new interests and create memories that last a lifetime, a spokesperson said.
Northern Lights YMCA offers 10 weeks of fun starting Monday, June 10.
AVA OKLER, LEFT, and Myla Moore get ready to jump in the pool during Spring Break YMCA Day Camp. The summer YMCA Day Camp will start on Monday, June 10.
Each week has a unique theme that shapes the direction of the camp. Campers can participate for one week or more.
The cost per week for YMCA members is $90 and $120 for general public. This camp is for children 5-12 years of age. Parent handbook can be picked up at the front desk.
"Northern Lights YMCA provides a variety of opportunities to help ensure that youth are learning and being physically active in the summer, a time of exploration," says Adrien Brzoznowski, Summer Day Camp director and youth coordinator, Northern Lights YMCA. "Campers also learn how to be responsible and resourceful, work in groups, solve problems and make decisions that will help them grow as individuals all while having fun."
Registration for the upcoming camp season is now open.
