Charles Augustine

NORWAY - Charles F. "Chuck" Augustine, retired lieutenant U.S. Army, found peace on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at age 75 years.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Emma Augustine of Norway.

Beloved father of the late Jeffrey (Jody) and Jennifer Augustine. Grandpa of Kai Jake and Morgan Augustine. Dear brother of Elizabeth. Caring best friend of Judy Gregory. Also survived by the Mendala and Gullifer families, and many other special friends.

CHARLES AUGUSTINE

Chuck graduated from Norway High School in 1955, and Gateway College for Emissions Controls. After his basic training, he joined the Wisconsin National Guard for 26 years and the Army Reserve for five years. He served his country during the Berlin Crisis. He worked under the state and federal control for the Milwaukee Riots in 1967. Chuck also worked at the state prison during the state strike. Chuck was a member of the West Allis Police Reserve (Sgt) and the Greenfield Auxiliary Police (Lt).

He was a past president of the Greenfield Chamber of Commerce and the Red Arrow Club of Milwaukee. He owned and operated Augustine's Automotive Repair for 44 years and worked at Cutler-Hammer Inc. for seven years.

Chuck lived a life of service, belonging to many organizations including the Viking Conservation Club, Greenfield Lions Club, Red Arrow Vets Association and Milwaukee County Senior Statesman. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a life member of the Kettle Moraine and Milwaukee HOG Chapters.

Visitation will be at the Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Home, 6080 South 27th Street, Milwaukee, on Monday, June 17, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Red Arrow Service will be at 6:45 p.m. Monday, followed by religious services at 7 p.m.

Private Interment Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.

Special thanks to Marty and Judy for taking care and being there for our Dad, Grandpa and Friend. Also a thank you to the pulmonary staff at St. Luke's Medical Center for the help and support.
