KINGSFORD - An Elite Sports Training Performance area speed and agility camp will be held Monday, July 8, to Friday, Aug. 9, at the Kingsford High School.
Sessions will last approximately one to one and a half hours and run Tuesday and Thursday mornings, focusing on skill development in the following areas: performance enhancement, strength and conditioning, flexibility training, plyometric exercise, injury prevention.
The camp is free for all high school girls and boys.
Staff includes local area sports medicine professionals including Andy Medina AT, ATC, PES; Ryan Peroceschi AT, ATC; Lane Lindeman AT, ATC, CSCS; Elsie Edwards AT, ATC; Neal Johnson PT, DPT; Tim McGuire PT; Chris Moore PT, DPT, MTC, PES; Jeff Moore PT, DPT, SMC, MTC; Nikki Trevarthen PTA; Molly Raab PTA; and Coach Ginger Moore.
Instructional lectures will be given by a Michigan Tech strength and conditioning coach and a local orthopedic surgeon will talk about injury prevention.
The event is sponsored by the Dickinson County Healthcare System, Back in Motion Physical Therapy Clinic and NLJ (Neal L. Johnson) Physical Therapy Center.
