NORWAY - U.P. Arctic Blast, despite a strong defensive first quarter, suffered a 57-0 Northern Xtreme Football League loss to the Green Bay Grizzlies at Ronberg Field.

Injuries and turnovers cost the Blast, who battled to a scoreless first quarter.

Blast quarterback Greg Goode made his first start of the season. Ryan Chenier, Jeremy MacDonald and R.J. Brown registered quarterback sacks.

"Despite some of our defensive starters being injured, the guys played hard, and in typical U.P. Arctic Blast fashion, they never gave up," said a team spokesman.

The Blast have rescheduled Saturday's game with the defending league champion Appleton Knights for a later date. The next game will be Saturday, June 22, when the Blast and Marshfield Sharks meet Saturday, June 22, at Stephenson High School. Kickoff is 4 p.m.
