IRON MOUNTAIN - A preliminary examination for a Niagara, Wis., man facing charges following an alleged knife assault at a flea market on June 15 has been continued.
Attorney Grant Carlson of Iron Mountain asked that due to the serious nature of the incident that the 14-day requirement for a preliminary examination be waived.
Dickinson County District Judge Christopher Ninomiya set aside Wednesday, July 10, at 2 p.m. for the continued preliminary examination.
Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Kristin Kass has been assigned to prosecute the case.
Lemanski is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and assault with a dangerous weapon.
He faces the charges after troopers from the Iron Mountain Post were called to a reported assault between two male subjects at a flea market near Iron Mountain's east City Limits.
Investigation determined that one person assaulted the other with a knife.
