KINGSFORD - The Kingsford Blues, backed by Cole Michaud's five-hit complete game, pounded out 15 hits in defeating Mid County 10-4 Thursday evening in American Legion Baseball at Lodal Park's Gary Spigarelli Field.
"When you gather 15 hits as a team, that is swinging the bats," Blues coach Kevin Murdock said. "I am really happy the way we are moving forward as a team."
Austin Murdock and Brien Johnson each collected three hits for the Blues. C.J. Qualley, Wes Paupore had two hits each, and Cole Tengesdahl, Cole Michaud, Anthony Robera, Devon Oslund and Conor Berndt each added a hit.

Michaud struck out three in the win, not allowing a walk.
"Cole has been pitching very well all year and this was another good performance," Murdock said. "No walks and five hits allowed will win a lot of games."
Kingsford plays a doubleheader at Marquette July 2 and at Channing July 6. The Blues return to Lodal July 7 for a doubleheader against Ishpeming.
