NEGAUNEE - A man was treated for injuries and released at Marquette General Hospital following a reported stabbing Saturday in West Branch Township, according to state police from the Negaunee post.
Troopers responded to a 911 call at 11:15 a.m. after a man reported he had been stabbed with a knife. When troopers arrived at the residence, they learned that an adult male and an adult female in a dating relationship were arguing and the female grabbed a knife and stabbed the male.
The suspect was transported and lodged at Marquette County Jail pending a review of charges by the Marquette County prosecuting attorney.
Assisting at the scene were officers from the Forsyth Township Police Department and the Marquette County Sheriff's Department.
