MARINETTE, Wis. - U.S. Tennis Association would like to add men's and women's teams in the Iron Mountain-Kingsford area.

Paula Fochesato, USTA league coordinator from Peshtigo, leads the U.P. Swingers tri-level women's team.

"The USTA provides opportunities for team competition at all age and skill levels," Fochesato said.

Marinette-based U.P. Swingers, with Iron Mountain area players Sue Nelson and Ellette Nyman on the team, hope to play in the state tournament in Madison. They need to beat a Marquette contingent in October to qualify.

U.P. Swingers placed second in last year's state tournament.

Senior teams need a minimum of six players; age 18-40, eight players.

For more information, contact Fochesato at 715-923-9545 or fochesatop@gmail.com
