Motorcyclist hits deer on U.S. 2 in Waucedah

IRON MOUNTAIN - A 65-year-old Niagara, Wis., man suffered a leg injury when his motorcycle collided with a deer Friday night on U.S. 2 in Waucedah Township, said state police at the Iron Mountain post.

Gary Davis was westbound on his motorcycle at 9:10 p.m. when a deer entered his path west of Foster City Road, troopers said.

After striking the deer, the motorcycle dropped to the ground and Davis was ejected. He was transported to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital by North Alert Ambulance.
