Barn fire in Fence

FENCE, Wis. - No livestock were inside a barn in Fence that caught fire during the early morning hours on Tuesday.

Florence County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a barn fire at the Bill Barribeau residence, 6082 Lamontagne Road in the township of Fence at 4:13 a.m. Tuesday.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered the barn to be totally engulfed in flames. The Fence Fire Department was assisted on scene by Homestead Fire, Aurora Fire and Rescue, Goodman Fire and the Florence County Sheriff's Office.

The barn did not have any livestock inside. The cause of the fire is currently undetermined and is not suspicious in nature, officials said.
