FLORENCE, Wis. - The inaugural Badwater Bash and Bass Tourney takes place this Saturday at Vagabond Park in Spread Eagle, Wis.

Admission and parking is free.
There will be activities available for all ages.
Registration for the fishing tourney begins at 5 a.m., and the contest starts at 6 a.m.
The cost to participate is $50 per boat. There is a 50 boat maximum, but space is still available. To apply, call Lori Moore at (715) 528-5377.
Weigh-in is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Shoreline events start at 3 p.m.
Food and beverage vendors will offer options such as fish and chips, coleslaw, beer, soda, and ice cream novelties.
Other attractions will include minnow racing, a celebrity dunk tank, the Florence Volunteer Fire Department's water cannon, and a fund-raiser for a new thermal imaging machine for the fire department.
At 5 p.m., the Badwater Ski-Ters will perform a celebrity water ski show.
Oz will perform live music from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on a lighted stage by the water.
In order to promote the event, the Wisconsin State Department of Tourism recently presented organizers with a $6,881 Joint Effort Marketing (JEM) grant.
"We were excited to receive this JEM grant from our state tourism partners," said Florence County Economic Development Director Wendy Gehlhoff. "Having extra marketing monies to target new visitor attraction gives Florence County more exposure."
