CALUMET - The Calumet Police Department was dispatched to a call where a baby fell from a second story window at 318 6th Street in the village of Calumet, at 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Upon arriving at the scene, the baby, 21-month-old Maison Ryan Arthur Williams, was being tended to by a couple of volunteer firemen and an off-duty EMT while awaiting the arrival of an ambulance, who then transferred the baby to Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital. That same evening the baby was airlifted to Milwaukee Children's Hospital in Wisconsin.

On Friday, July 12, Calumet Police Department officers were contacted by the medical examiner from the Milwaukee Children's Hospital who informed the police that the baby had passed away at approximately 3:30 p.m. that day.
