IRON MOUNTAIN - The Little League minor (age 9-10) District 10 title comes down to Dickinson County.
With a 15-1, four-inning victory over Tri-County Wednesday evening at Larry Barkle Eastside Field, Iron Mountain North's all-stars completed their comeback through the loser's bracket and will take on Norway Friday at 6 p.m. for the right to advance to the state tournament.
With Norway still unbeaten, an if-necessary game would be played Saturday should Iron Mountain prevail tonight.

The bag and the ball get away as Tri-County’s Brennan Hakkola attempts to tag Iron Mountain’s Gavin Goulette at third during Thursday’s Little League Minor district game at Larry Barkle Barkle Field. IM third base coach Steve Juul looks toward the third base umpire for the call.
A four-run first inning gave Iron Mountain all it needed against the pitching-depleted Tri-County crew. IM added five more in the second, one in the third and then ended the game early by chalking up five runs in the fourth.
Blake Julian, Joe Dumais and Luke Powell all saw action on the hill for IM North, limiting Tri-County to only one hit while striking out four and walking two.
David Juul, Julian and Ian Anderson each had two of Iron Mountain's 13 hits, Julian ripping a triple and Anderson smoking a double. Jurgen Kleiman also tripled for the North stars.
Juul, Julian, Hunter Fortner and Dante Basanese each crossed home twice in the contest.
Parker Maki hit a double for Tri-County, and Dakota Maki scored the team's lone run.
Tonight's final is a rematch of the opening game of the tournament. Norway edged Iron Mountain 6-5 last week, and Iron Mountain has won five straight since to work its way into the final.
The District winner advances to state play at Muskegon Oak Ridge July 25.
