NORWAY - A squirrel was the cause of an electrical outage that affected approximately 800 customers in Norway this morning.

Department of Public Works Superintendent Joe Pickart said that at approximately 9:15 a.m. today, a squirrel got on top of a large transformer and blew the fuse.

That fuse operated the main circuit from the Norway substation affecting approximately 800 customers. The outage lasted about 20 minutes and all customers were restored.
