ESCANABA - Connie Lynn Gauthier, 57, of Reno, formerly Iron Mountain, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at the Christian Park Center in Escanaba following a courageous battle with ALS.
Connie was born July 7, 1956, in Iron Mountain and graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1974.
She moved to Reno, Nev., where she worked for the City of Reno Police Department, retiring after 30 years of service.
Connie enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, traveling and spending time with family.
Surviving is her mother, Janice Gauthier; brothers, Ronnie, Donald (Judith), Vincent, Brian (Kim); sisters, Joan Tappy, Kathy (Doug) Clay, Adriene (Lyn) Ostrom; nieces and nephews, Kristi (Kirk) Frechen, Tyler (Casey) Tappy, Paul Gauthier, Brandon Gauthier, Tiffiny Kraemer, Joshua Gauthier, Dalton (Caitlyn) Gauthier, Ashley Gauthier, Ryan Gauthier, Jared Gauthier, Derek (Janelle) Clay, Jessica Clay, Jamie Grace Gauthier, Andrew Ostrom; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Connie also leaves a special friend, Rirchard Posadas of Reno.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Paul A. Gauthier; and her brother, Matthew Duane Gauthier.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends the weekend of Aug. 17-18.
Connie now rests in peace. She will be missed dearly by her family and her many friends.
