MARINETTE, Wis. - A fugitive from Colorado who is described as a sex offender with violent tendencies was discovered hiding out in the town of Niagara, Wis. on Tuesday evening.

Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve said that his office received information from the Colorado Department of Corrections on Monday that a wanted and potentially dangerous fugitive, identified as 33-year-old Johnathon R. Lagest, may be in Marinette County.

Colorado authorities reported that Lagest was supposedly camping and hiding out along a stream in the northern part of the county.
