ARMSTRONG CREEK, Wis. - Richard A. Klatt, 62, of Armstrong Creek, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain. He was born on Feb. 10, 1951, in Goodman, Wis., to Melvin and Lois (Smitham) Klatt.
Richard married Christine Jones and they lived together in the Milwaukee area before moving to Armstrong Creek. He worked in the sanitation department as a garbage truck driver for the city of Milwaukee.
Richard enjoyed tinkering in the garage and working on cars. He also loved hunting.
Richard is survived by his wife, Christine, of Armstrong Creek; one daughter, Denise (Michael) Wheaton of West Allis, Wis.; one son, Richard Jr. of West Allis; a sister, Nancy (Chester) Pyrcz of Armstrong Creek; and a brother, Terry (Nancy) Klatt of Armstrong Creek.
He is further survived by his grandchildren, Aliina, Mikey, Jason, Chloee, Billy and Allissa.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Joe.
A graveside service will be held for Richard on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery in Goodman. Deacon Jerry Cross will officiate.
