Keith enjoyed the quality of life the Northwoods offered; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and spending time with his family. When his health would no longer allow him to do the things he loved, he passed his talents and knowledge of all he knew on to his family and friends.

Keith's bigger than life smile, heart and presence will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He had a special way with children and made everyone he came in contact with feel special.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Sharon; one son, Chase Opolka, Homestead; one daughter, Lauren (Dino) LaGest, Homestead; his father, Mike (Beverly) Opolka, Norway; his mother, Charlotte Corrao, Norway; four brothers, Mike (Melody) Opolka, Ark; Scott (Karen) Opolka, Green Bay, Willard (Joyce) Opolka, Aurora, Wis., and Lyle Hennricks, Milwaukee; five sisters, Kris (Russ) Spranger, Traverse City, Debbie (Tom) Murray, Norway, Kathy Dupont, Norway, Gina (Bill) Maynard, Norway, and Paula (Randy) Bader, Suamico, Wis.; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Keith was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Fred "Casey" Haevers, and his mother-in-law, Oneeda "Sis" (Nault) Haevers.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Norway. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 4 p.m. at the church. Pastor Andrew Filizetti will officiate.

You may light a candle in remembrance of Keith, or leave a condolence for his family online at www.jacobsfuneralhomes.com.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, to honor Keith's legacy of life.
