FLORENCE, Wis. - Florence's Trudy Rochon concluded a 22-year coaching career Saturday in the WIAA Division 4 volleyball regional finals.
The highly-respected Bobcats coach announced her retirement after Goodman-Pembine rallied for a 3-2 victory.
"Goodman-Pembine has a nice team and I wish them well," Rochon said.

As always, she saluted her players and Florence fans.
"It was more important that I develop nice, wonderful young ladies because that was the most important thing," said Rochon when asked about her accomplishments. "Winning was just the fun part that came with it."
It wasn't for lack of fan support that Florence bowed out in the regionals.
"To all the students and fans from the community, thank you, thank you, thank you," Rochon said. "You are truly the best and I will miss you."
Rochon became Florence's head coach in 1992.
