ESCANABA - Six different players scored as the Kingsford junior varsity blasted Escanaba 54-19.
The Flivvers completed the football season 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the Great Northern Conference, giving them the outright league championship for the second straight year. Over a three-year period, Coach Mark Novara's jayvees have now posted 20 straight victories.
Ben Moreau, Sam Santi and Cole Moreau paced the scoring parade with 12 points apiece.
Ben Moreau tallied touchdown runs on three and 12-yard carries. Santi scored twice on a 24-yard reception from Brandon Kowalkowski and a 26-yard scamper the next time he touched the ball. Cole Moreau's 12 points came on a one-yard blast and six extra points.
Kowalkowski reached the endzone from 67 yards out and led the Flivvers with 107 yards in five attempts. Kowalkowski also completed five of eight pass attempts for 132 yards. Nick Smith was the favorite target, hauling in three passes for 96 yards including one for 77.
Alex Blaskowski ran eight yards for a score while Austin Taylor-Smith picked up the final touchdown on a two-yard run.
Ten Flivvers carried the ball for 321 yards. Santi and Cole Moreau, each with 53, and Ben Moreau, 50, followed Kowalkowski's 107.
Kingsford registered 20 first downs - 16 on the ground. The Flivvers had 507 yards total offense
On defense, Ben Moreau recovered two fumbles while Brendan McGuire and Santi snagged interceptions. Kyle Eckerberg blocked an Escanaba kick.
Ben Moreau, Wyatt Caylor, McGuire, Kyle Henes, Nick Smith and Justin Grailer topped the tackles chart.
