Norway's Brady Grayvold, starting right cornerback for the Warhawks, cites several reasons for the unbeaten season and the school's 11th playoff berth.

"We've been very successful mainly because of how close this team is and how solid the leadership has been,' Grayvold said. "Between our three captains, they have set a great example of how a team should be run and lead.

"Another thing is our coaches always stress that 'It's not about what anybody else does, but what we do." That approach has definitely helped us in our preparation."

Grayvold, son of Dana and Brad Grayvold of Norway, emphasized team unity.

"I think a lot of it has to do with how close everyone is and how well the team gets along" Grayvold said. "We do a lot of stuff as a team from dinners to movies to watching games in the locker room.

"It's a family down here, from the fans to the campus to the administration."

Grayvold (5-foot-11, 197 pounds), in 10 games for Whitewater, has tallied 34 tackles (21 solo), three pass interceptions and one forced fumble.

"It's a football school and a dream of a place to play at if you want to play college football and get the whole experience," said Grayvold, who transferred from Northern Michigan to Whitewater.

Whitewater (10-0) and St. Norbert (8-2) clash at noon Saturday at Perkins Stadium. Whitewater, 33-6 all-time in the tournament, won national championships in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
