IRON MOUNTAIN - The Dickinson County Board of Canvassers completed a recount this morning to review the 389 ballots cast in the Norway City Council election.
Results from the Nov. 5 election showed incumbent Mark Bubloni finishing out of the running for a council seat by seven votes. Bubloni requested the recount, which took place in the conference room of the Dickinson County Correctional Center.
In the race for three Norway council seats, initial results were: Paul Hayes, 254 votes; George Bal, 233; Jeremy Oja, 230; and Bubloni, 223.

The only difference discovered in the recount was an extra vote for Hayes. Results were: Hayes, 255; Bal, 233; Oja, 230; and Bubloni, 223.
All of the candidates are incumbents, except for Bal, who is a former council member.
Ballots were counted today by hand.
Bubloni is obligated to pay a $10 fee ($10 per precinct), according to Dolly Cook, Dickinson County clerk-register of deeds.
