NORWAY - Escanaba edged Kingsford for Division 3 honors in the Norway Invitational high school cheerleading meet Saturday.
The Eskymos, with a strong second-round showing, posted a 723.08 to 715.42 for the Flivvers.
"I'm very proud of our team and how they handled the pressure," Kingsford Coach Sara Pericolosi said. "We've made significant gains since the CCCAM meet in all three rounds."

Kingsford opened the season with the CCCAM in Escanaba Dec. 14. This was the second meet of the season.
"We achieved our goal of breaking 700," Pericolosi said. "We need to place our focus on our second round this week as we prepare for Escanaba on Saturday."
Manistique claimed Division 4 honors, registering 678.20 in besting Munising, 673.04, and the host Knights, 656.38.
