MARQUETTE - The North Central-Cedarville battle didn't end at the Class D state quarterfinals.

North Central’s Travis Vincent was selected to the All-U.P. “Dream Team.”
The Jets and Trojans waged another tussle within the All-U.P. boys basketball team announced today by the U.P. Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association.
Cedarville handed North Central its only loss this season in the recent Class D playoff game.
At the U.P. media session, Cedarville copped Class D Team of the Year over North Central. The twice-beaten Trojans lost to Boyne City and Flint Academy this season.
For Class D Coach of the Year, North Central's Adam Mercier prevailed over Dave Duncan of Cedarville and Jacob Polfus of Carney-Nadeau.
In Class D Player of the Year balloting, Cedarville's Joey Duncan (21 points per game) was named over Travis Vincent of North Central (16 ppg, 11 reb.).
Duncan and Vincent earned All-U.P. "Dream Team" laurels with Negaunee's Tyler Jandron, unanimous Class ABC Player of the Year with a 17-point scoring average; Ironwood's Adam Mackey (17.5 ppg) and Escanaba's Brandon Robinette (17.9 ppg).
In other major awards, Negaunee's Mike O'Donnell was the lone choice for Class ABC Coach of the Year. His Miners and Marquette grabbed Class C and AB Team of the Year, respectively.
In player selections, North Central's Rob Granquist cracked the Class D first team,
The Class D second team shows Trevor Ekberg and Jason Whitens of North Central along with Lee Graff of Forest Park.
Kingsford junior Daniel Harrington landed a Class ABC second-team berth.
Special mention accolades (at least two votes) went to four area players _ Zach Caudell, Iron Mountain; Adam Newby, West Iron County; Logan O'Neil, North Dickinson and Daniel Nocerini, Forest Park.
