Felch’s Chad Hord raced to a first and second in the opening rounds of the TORC Series at Primm, Nevada.
Chad Hord’s BOSS truck dominated the TORC?opener.
Hord Racing, fortified by two weeks of testing out west, put down the fastest qualifying lap and earned $500.
"The team's hard work was evident as the truck was on point right from the start," Hord said.
Hord Racing spent testing time making minor adjustments to adjust the truck to the demanding track.
Lined up on the pole to start round one, Hord led from flag-to-flag for his 32nd career victory.
In the second round, Hord started from the fourth spot and finished second. He found his way to the lead at the beginning but the mandatory caution diminished that effort.
Hord, unable to pass CJ Greaves, settled for second and missed out on the fastest lap of the race by .01 of a second.
"We're eager for the dirt track at Charlotte," said Hord, referring to rounds 3 and 4 at Charlotte Motor Speedway April 25-26.
Hord Racing season runs until the end of August. The schedule calls for stops at St. Louis, Bark River (June 13-14 and July 19-20), Crandon, Wis., (June 28-29, Aug. 2-3, Aug. 30-31) and Sturgis, S.D.
Hord tallied 47 points at Primm, followed by Mike Jenkins, 38; Patrick Clark, 36; Jeff Seifert and Marty Hart, 34, and Greaves, 31.
