From Agatha Cavaiani of Kingsford:
Bouquets to the Sons of the American Legion Post 363 of Kingsford for presenting the Breen Avenue Senior Citizens Center of Kingsford with a new American Flag from the Office of Veterans Affairs to be flown from their flag pole in time for memorial day.
Tammy, a Navy veteran of 13 years and an employee of Northern Michigan Home Health, was proud and honored to raise the new flag, and fold and dispose of the old properly.
What a great tribute to the community from the sons. A salute to Post 363 and may the stars and stripes wave forever in this great nation of ours.
From Carolyn Cody of Iron Mountain:
The much needed Quinnesec-Lake Antoine Road is almost done. It was a big project.
The construction crew did a superb job.
Many thanks from all of us who use it.
From Christine Harrington, West Iron County Public Schools Counselor/Educator:
I am writing on behalf of West Iron County Public Schools to give a warm thank you to all organizations, groups and individuals who have gone above and beyond to help our graduating seniors by providing your generous support with the scholarship monies this year, and in years past.
I am overwhelmed and grateful that a community the size of Iron River and Crystal is able and willing to provide so much financial support to so many of our students. You are all to be commended.
I am confident our students will have the opportunity to become successful college students and contributing adults thanks to the financial support you all have so graciously provided.
