Breen and Felch volunteer fires departments, after a one-hour delay due to a car fire at Norway Lake, staged their annual Fourth of July softball game in conjunction with a parade and fireworks. Breen came out on top 9-3, winning for the second year in a row behind superior base-running by Roger Nord, power hitting by Jeff Dixon and the pitching of chief Kevin Cary. Breen offered gratitude to the communities and the wives of the firemen for their support. Fifty-fifty winners for the day included Rick Johnson of Foster City, Jeff Anderson and Jim Edberg of Felch and Tim Rusky of Gladstone. Team members, front row, from left: Roger Nord, Jeff Miller, Kevin Cary, Dillon Dennocenzo, Brandon Lucas, Shad Ackerman. Back row: Trevor Dixon, Scott Raether, Rick Johnson, Justin Massie, Rod Carlson, Matt Skogman, Jeff Dixon, Dean "DJ" Larson and Bill Lucas.
