Dr. Birgiolas will tell you that he and his wife chose to move to the Upper Peninsula because of the ease in building lasting patient doctor relationships in rural areas.
"The atmosphere here is inviting, humble, friendly, and family oriented. My wife and I are very active so it also helps that we are surrounded by beautiful landscapes that we can utilize in any season," he said.
Even though many people have warned him about the U.P. winters he is sure that he will be fine with snow up to his chin as he was born and raised in Canada, and snow like that is second nature to him.
Dr. Birgiolas is known as a skilled, compassionate and understanding provider who is willing to work with his patients in order to maximize their functional level and help manage their pain.
