Girls Basketball: Phelps drops Bobcats, 66-35

PHELPS, Wis. — Amanda Grmick scored 30 points and Marti Rudawski added 27 as Phelps downed Florence 66-35 in Northern Lakes Conference girls basketball Thursday.

“The girls played hard,” said Florence coach Jim Uren. “Phelps has two very scrappy guards that ate our man and zone defenses apart.”

Florence’s Shayla McLain and Savannah Vassar each scored eight points. Sidnie Steber had seven points and nine rebounds.

The Bobcats (0-3, 0-1 NLC) continue conference play Tuesday at Elcho.

Jenna Springer 15’s points helped the Florence junior varsity edge the Kingsford freshmen 38-36.
