Hord secures new sponsor: Lucas Oil

FELCH — Lucas Oil will be sponsoring Hord Racing for the 2017 season.

Hord Racing will participate in a limited racing schedule in both The Off-Road Racing Championship and Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series

“This is a fantastic partnership for Hord Racing and me personally,” said Chad Hord, driver and team owner at Hord Racing.

Lucas Oil is involved with various forms of racing including drag, stock car, Indy car, power boat and closed course off-road.

Additionally, Lucas Oil’s broad product line supports both motorsports and street vehicles.

“I have used and relied on Lucas Oil products in my race truck and personal vehicles and can’t say enough about the products as well as the company management,” said Hord, expressing appreciation to Forest and Charlotte Lucas and Bob Patison.

The Lucas Oil-sponsored Hord Racing PRO 4 will be racing at Crandon, June 24-25 and Sept. 2-3; Bark River, July 15-16, and Wheatland, Mo., July 22-23.

“I’m really looking forward to showing the fans at Crandon, Bark River and Wheatland my new Lucas Oil/PONSSE PRO 4 and taking it to the winner’s circle at these events,” said Hord, an off-road racer since 1995. “The last time I raced at the beautiful Lucas Oil Speedway (in Wheatland) we won the race in our Pro-Light and won the series championship. So it will be exciting to go back.”

Hord has accumulated 37 career wins and three points championships in various off- road racing series as well as conquering the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in an electric car.

“We look forward to seeing Chad on track, with Lucas Oil both under the hood and on his truck,” said Tom Bogner, motorsports director for Lucas Oil Products.
