Girls basketball: Niagara beats Lena

LENA, Wis. — Niagara weathered early foul trouble to down Lena 68-42 in M&O Conference play Monday.

The unbeaten Badgers (4-0, 3-0) had three players in foul trouble in the first half, according to coach Karl Lamoreaux.

“We suffered a lot of foul trouble and overcame it,” Lamoreaux said. “We played most of the first half in foul trouble but our girls stepped up and filled the void.”

Niagara held a 29-23 halftime lead before pulling away in the second half.

Sophomore Jasmine Racine led the Badgers with 25 points along with five rebounds and five assists.

Freshman Alyssa Ivey added 12 points while Ki’Ercidy Hannah had 11 points with seven rebounds.

Niagara visits Oneida Nation on Dec. 12.
