Boys basketball: Badgers drop M&O clash to Wausaukee

WAUSAUKEE — Wausaukee rolled to a 43-13 halftime lead and downed Niagara 68-42 in M&O Conference action Friday.

The Rangers (6-6, 5-4) shot 56 percent from the floor in the game.

“The game got away from us in the first half,” said Niagara coach Jim Hoogland. “They played quarter-court man pressure and double-teamed the basketball. We didn’t adjust to it well.

“We played much better in the second half.”

Landen Kaldor scored 15 points and Josh Weber added 11 for the Badgers (1-12, 1-8). Haydon Renikow led the Rangers with 14 points.

Niagara hosts Suring on Tuesday for Parents Night.

Wausaukee defeated Niagara 52-40 in the junior varsity game.
