Distance Run: Steinbrecher, Basten win Frosty 5K

IRON MOUNTAIN — Iron Mountain’s Katie Steinbrecher and Marquette’s Ben Basten took top honors Saturday in the Dickinson-Iron Community Services Agency’s (DICSA) Frosty 5K & Merry Mile run at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.

Steinbrecher finished in 24 minutes, 39 seconds; Basten in 19:23.

All proceeds support DICSA’s community programs. Dana Waara, DICSA’s human resources/outreach director stated that the event was a great success. She expressed appreciation to all participants, volunteers and sponsors.
