Baseball: Knights sweep Marquette

NORWAY — Norway edged Marquette in a doubleheader sweep on Tuesday.

The Knights (3-1) beat the Redmen 6-5 in the first game and 10-6 in the second game.

Kody Hendricks was credited with the win on the mound for Norway in the first game. Trey Doda pitched the sixth inning in relief. The Knights had eight hits including two by Gannon Bray, Nolan Amundson and Payton Thompson, who also had a double.

In the second game, Parker Lasater took the win on the mound, pitching three innings. Bray pitched two innings in relief. Norway had 12 hits including two apiece by Thompson and Brett Turini.

Norway hosts Kingsford on Thursday.
