Vaccine appointments can be made Wednesday morning in Dickinson, Iron counties

The Dickinson-Iron District Health Department on Wednesday morning will accept new appointments for COVID vaccinations for those within Phase 1B Priority One and Two groups.

The Phase 1B Priority One group includes those age 65 and older.

The Phase 1B Priority Two group is first responders, educators, corrections staff and child protective service workers.

Scheduling will start at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Do not call before 8:30 a.m., as schedules will not be open. The link also will be posted to didhd.org at the same time so individuals can schedule their own appointment.

Those who do not have computer access can call to schedule: for Dickinson County, 906-774-1868; for Iron County, 906-265-9913. Appointments must be made in the county where you live, as vaccines are allocated based on a county’s population. Appointments are required; no walk-in appointments will be accepted.

Those who have access to the internet can find consent forms and other information regarding COVID-19 at didhd.org.

Mass clinics will be scheduled at these off-site locations to allow for better social distancing —

— Dickinson County: Dickinson County Fair Grounds, Yellow Administration Building, Norway.

— Iron County: Forest Park School, east entrance near the parking lot by the bus garage, Crystal Falls.
