FLORENCE, Wis. — The Wild Rivers Quilt Guild invites all area quilters to join them for their meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Florence, Wis.,

The program for the evening is titled “Half Square Triangle Extravaganza” and will be presented by Joanne Friberg, who will show quilts she made with just this simple square and how different each one is.

Churn Dash, Pinwheel, Chevron, Hunter Star, Carpenter Star, Hidden Star, Herringbone, Shoo Fly, Friendship Star, Spinning Star, Cross my Heart, Tiled Stars and, and, and the list of quilts that can be made with the very basic half-square triangle goes on and on and on.

Anyone who has a quilted project that incorporates half-square triangles is invited to bring it to the meeting. “Show ‘n’ Tell” will focus on half-square triangle quilts.
