John and Tina Elmer of Iron Mountain are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Marie, to Justin Ryan Hoffmeyer, son of Bryan Hoffmeyer of Novi, Mich. and Diane Hoffmeyer of Hancock. Melissa is a 2008 graduate of Iron Mountain High School and a 2012 graduate of Bay de Noc Community College. She is employed at U.P. Health System in Portage as a registered nurse clinical care coordinator of dialysis. Justin is a 2007 graduate of Houghton High School, and a 2010 graduate of Northern Michigan University. He is a radiologic technologist at U.P. Health System in Portage. A June 3, 2017, wedding is planned.
